Writing Portfolio

While attending the University of Missouri to obtain a Journalism degree, I worked as a reporter with a local newspaper, the Columbia Missourian. Here are a few articles I wrote that were published:

  • Gathered requirements.
  • Their old site had a lot of content that was dead or very spread out. Conducted a card sort to help with information architecture.
  • Trained and lead two front-end developers through development process.
  • Regularly watch the customer services department to look for issues with this site as well as the Shelter Insurance public site.

Yes, I realize it has been a year

So I dropped in on this blog and realized it has been almost a whole year since I have posted anything. Considering everything I have been up to this is pretty much unacceptable. In the photo world I have an exhibit at The Vault in Mexico, MO and will be judging a photo competition later this month. I was offered a job at the National Guard as a photographer and laid off before I was even able to get one day in.

But, the biggest change in my life since my last post is centered around this fine looking fellow. Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to Jimi.

Hollywood

Last weekend my brother and I decided to hike up to the Hollywood sign….

We got a little lost on the way up, but found the original Batcave…..

This is the cave (that turned out to be a tunnel) from the 50’s television series.

On our way down we saw a rattlesnake and it scared poor Brian….

But he recovered and we made it home safely.
